I can of course enable everybody on Lync to use EV but surely this would require that everyone have an E4 licence. Note that the Lync 2013 desktop client is licensed separately as part of Office 2013 Pro Plus, although the other clients such as Lync Mobile and Lync 2013 Basic are available at no costs e.g. The RGS that we have setup each have a separate account for VM/UM and I have assigned these E1 LicencesĪs forwarding is all setup within the RGS can I just leave these users set to PC-PC or do they need to be setup for EV as well, If they need EV then will the E1 licence be enough?Ĭurrently It is all working fine for those test users who have E4 and are assigned Enterprise voice but for those just setup as PC-PC not so much. See Licensing Lync for more information (server backend). How can we get an E3/Pc-Pc user configured so that if they are unavailable it goes to their Voicemail which is configured in Exchange online UM. But from what I can tell if they are configured for PC-PC only then they do not get the option to forward calls. But I have run into a couple of things that I cannot find a definitive answer for.ġ) Lync server 2013 In house (Not using Lync online at all)ģ) Main office number with extension assigned to non DDI usersĤ) 800 E4 Licences - 200 E3 Licences and 20 E1 Exchange online licences.ĥ) 15 Response groups setup in such a way that if no agent available or outside office hours calls forward to voicemail.Īs per my current understanding an E3 user is only allowed to have PC-PC set for Lync.

I have been heading up a Lync/Skype project at my workplace involving about 1000 Users. This has been cross posted in the Lync forums and they advised that I ask here.
